Led by Laura J. Milliken, the accomplished producer and entrepreneur, Big Soul Productions is celebrating its tenth anniversary, with a very impressive track record. Since its inception, the Toronto-based studio has been a leader in Aboriginal screen based content programming. Building its strength in live-action, the studio offers a complete range of services from creative development, to pre-production up to post-production, for feature films, series, documentaries, music videos and shorts.
In 2007, Big Soul started its first animation project, titled By The Rapids. It tells the story of a pampered urban teen, Cory Littlehorn, who has no choice but to adapt to life in the odd little Mohawk community of “By The Rapids” when his parents fail to return from a luxurious retreat to collect him. By The Rapids is available in both Mohawk and English languages.
The team including Peter Jensen, Producer and Production Manager, Joseph Tekaroniake “Dega” Lazare, Creator and Director, Bojan Redzic, Animation Director, Adam Klassen, Animation Supervisor and Beverly Maguire, Animation Studio Coordinator, share on their experience using Toon Boom Storyboard Pro and Digital Pro throughout the production process.
