Quite simply, Toon Boom has zero tolerance for pirated software. Software piracy is costing the animation industry millions if not billions of dollars.

To protect your interest as an outsourcing studio or service provider, Toon Boom has decided to take drastic steps to reduce piracy. Anyone using pirated copies of Harmony, Opus and/or Toon Boom Studio as well as anyone working with such studios will face serious legal consequences.

Piracy hurts not only our business, but yours as well. If you are a service provider, be aware that studios using pirated copies of Toon Boom's products do not compete fairly, as they bid on the same projects as you, at a much lower cost. If you are a studio that outsources production work, be aware that studios using pirated copies of Harmony, Opus and/or Toon Boom Studio are not up-to-date with software releases and upgrades, and therefore can't provide you with the utmost efficiency and quality you deserve. In addition, studios using pirated copies of Harmony, Opus and/or Toon Boom Studio don't have access to our highly-rated Support and field-proven consulting services, which can cause expensive problems and delays for you.

Your collaboration is critical to the success of our mission. By collaborating with us, you are contributing to make the animation industry a more honest, healthier and fairer business.

Receiving, using or copying stolen software is a criminal offence and harms the entire animation industry. It pushes software prices up for legitimate users, which in turn forces you to charge more for animation services.
