ICTC has recognized Toon Boom Studio and its curriculum as one of the best vehicles to teach 21st century business and technology skills to Canadian students.
Montreal-based Toon Boom Animation Inc., the two-time Emmy award-winning digital content and animation creation software provider, has been approved as an official educational resource and curriculum to support the learning of 21st century skills among Canadian students through one of ICTC’s youth and education initiative programs, Focus on IT (FIT).
At a time when youth unemployment is at a high, FIT provides the necessary building blocks for an innovative learning experience and encourages students to acquire 21st century skills in business, technology and communications while completing their secondary school diploma.
President and CEO of Toon Boom, Joan Vogelesang notes, “It is an honour to be recognized by ICTC as an essential learning tool for Canadian students, as it aligns with our goals to meet the needs of educators at all levels, who are looking for ways to integrate interactive media and business information and analysis curriculum into their existing classroom environments. The use of our pedagogic materials enables the achievement of higher literacy rates for greater engagement while meeting overall learning objectives.”
Meeting the FIT standards is a great testament of Toon Boom Studio’s significant pedagogic impact not only in Canada but also in the United States and beyond.
