Can I download Flip Boom All-Star from my work computer,then copy, install and activate it
No! The computer that you install and activate the software on must have a working internet connection.
Can I download Flip Boom All-Star on my friend’s computer,
No! You must have an Internet connection in order to activate the software on your computer. You can download it to one computer and then place it on another computer, which has an active Internet connection, where you can install and activate it.
Can I activate Flip Boom All-Star by email?No! You can only activate Flip Boom All-Star if you have a working Internet connection on the computer where you are going to download, install and activate it.
Do I need a working Internet connection for Flip Boom All-Star?Yes! Flip Boom All-Star will not work unless you have a working Internet connection to download, install and activate it. Once it is activated, the computer no longer needs to be connected to the Internet. However, if you want to share your work on YouTube or Facebook you will need a working Internet connection.
Can I install the software on more than one computer? Yes, as long as both have a working Internet connection.
However, you must:
* Deactivate Flip Boom All-Star on the first computer (this computer needs to have working Internet connection to do this)
* Install and reactivate it on the second computer (this computer needs to have working Internet connection to do this)

Do I need the Internet connected after the installation to run the software? No! After the software is installed AND ACTIVATED the computer doesn’t need to stay connected to the Internet. So if your Internet connection fails you can still use Flip Boom All-Star.
You will need to be connected if you want to export your animation to YouTube, Facebook or iTunes.
Can I still use Flip Boom All-Star if my Internet no longer works? Yes! As long as Flip Boom All-Star was installed and activated on that computer you can use Flip Boom All-Star even if the connection to the Internet is lost. But remember, if you want to export your completed animation you will need an active Internet connection.
Can I download and activate Flip Boom All-Star on a computer with working Internet connectionNo!
I am unhappy with Flip Boom All-Star and don’t want it anymore, can I get my money back? No! We do not provide a refund on this product.
Try using it again, you may be surprised just how easy you can make animation with it.
I like Flip Boom All-Star a lot, can I make a copy to give to my friends? No! It is not legal to make copies of Flip Boom All-Star to give to your friends. Show your friends the Flip Boom All-Star webpage and tell them they can buy a copy.

How do I know what all the buttons do in Flip Boom All-Star?Place the cursor over the button or icon and leave it for a few seconds. A small box will appear telling you what that tool is used for or what that button does.You can also press F1 to see the Flip Boom All-Star User Guide.
How do I change my language setting in Flip Boom All-Star? Flip Boom All-Star supports both English and French languages.

Can I change the background colour of Flip Boom All-Star?Yes, it’s easy!
I want to work on one of my projects, where is it? Click on the Open button to open a saved project. When you click on this, a window will appears so you can browse to the place where the project is saved.
How do I see the page I worked on just before the current one? Click on the icon with three people on it, this is the Show Previous Page tool. When you do this you will be able to see one page before and one page after the page you are working on. This is useful when you are trying to match your current drawing to the rest of the animation and make the cartoon more fluid.
How do I draw with different colours than the colour pots shown in the palette?That is easy!
How do I paint behind the character that I am drawing? Select the character and then click on the Paint Behind icon, it looks like a tree with a colour stroke behind it. The icon changes colour when it is ready to use. You can now use the Brush tool to paint behind your character.
How do I increase the size of the Eraser so I can erase thicker lines more easily? Select the Eraser tool and then use the Maximum Size slider to alter the size of the Eraser.
Can I import images into Flip Boom All-Star?Yes! Click on File > Import Image and select the file that you would like to import into Flip Boom All-Star. Flip Boom All-Star supports many file formats, such as .jpg, .png, .tiff, .psd and many more.
Can I import sound into Flip Boom All-Star?Yes! Click on the musical note at the bottom left hand corner of Flip Boom All-Star. See the Flip Boom All-Star User Guide for more details about importing sound into your animation.
How do I create a new animation? Create a new Flip Boom All-Star project by clicking on the New button.
If you already have a project open and it is not saved, Flip Boom All-Star will ask you if you want to save that project before opening a new one.
Can I create custom libraries? Yes. You can create custom libraries and save your drawings for future use.
Flip Boom All-Star keeps failing when trying to print, what do I do?The software uses the default printer to print the current page for the number of times specified. Check your printer default properties and see if something in these options could make the print fail.
Can I give my drawings to my friend? He has Flip Boom All-Star. Yes! Your friend must have a registered copy of Flip Boom All-Star.
Save your project and then copy your project to a USB key or disk and give it to your friend and then he can open the project in his copy of the software.
What format can I show my Flip Boom All-Star animation in?You can show Flip Boom All-Star animation in iTunes, MOV, SWF, YouTube and Facebook file format.

I provided my YouTube account and want the computer to remember it, is my password stored securely on the computer?Yes! Your password is stored using 128-bit encryption.
Do I need a YouTube account to export to YouTube?Yes! You need to provide your YouTube account username and password in the software to upload a video.
Do I need a Facebook account to export to Facebook?Yes! You need to log into your Facebook account during the export process.You will also be asked to allow Toon Boom Animation as a Facebook application and to allow video uploads on your account. Any negative answers will result in a failure to upload the video to your account.
Do I need an Internet connection to export to YouTube or Facebook?Yes! An Internet connection is required when exporting to YouTube and Facebook.
I have projects from Comic Boom, can I open them in Flip Boom All-Star?Yes. Flip Boom All-Star can open projects from Comic Boom. You can then edit and save them in the current project format. Once saved, you won’t be able to open them back up in Comic Boom. You may notice that the drawings do not fit inside the Drawing Space. This is because the format of the Drawing Space window is 16:9 in Flip Boom All-Star compared with 4:3 in Comic Boom.
I have projects from Animation-ish, can I open them in Flip Boom All-Star?Yes! Flip Boom All-Star can open projects from Animation-ish levels 1 and 2 (not 3). You can then edit and save them in the current project format. Once saved, you won’t be able to open them back up in Animation-ish.You may notice that the drawings do not fit inside the Drawing Space. This is because the format of the Drawing Space window is 16:9 in Flip Boom All-Star compared with 4:3 in Animation-ish.

You can then edit and save them in the current project format. This is because the format of the Drawing Space window is 16:9 in Flip Boom All-Star compared with 4:3 in Flip Boom Classic.
I have Flip Boom Battat and have some templates that I bought, can I use these in Flip Boom All-Star?Yes. Once installed with Flip Boom Battat, the purchased templates can be copied into your Flip Boom All-Star directory.

You must first check for two things:

You need to have third party software for burning CD/DVD data files. Windows Media will not burn data files. Check on your computer to see if there is a software installed which will do this. If not, you will need to download and install a data disc burning software such as Nero or Roxio.
