Canada: Located in the heart of Montreal, Fine Arts Core Education (F.A.C.E.) offers elementary and secondary programs that combine academic and artistic development. The educational program provides children with many challenges in which they can flourish and develop their full potential. Important values at F.A.C.E. are openness of mind, respect, responsibility, independence, self-discipline, accomplishment, and self-esteem. The program aims to provide varied ways of learning, creating, thinking, and participating.

As part of their emphasis on the fine arts, F.A.C.E. has assigned a unique teacher to the task. Paul Carrière is certainly one of the most inspiring and dedicated teachers we had the chance to ever meet… Read more

Senegal: Created in 2000 by the President of Senegal, his Excellence Maître Abdoulaye WADE, La Case des Tout-Petits (CTP) is a community based initiative targeted to youth. In this program, the mandate is to establish a sound educational structure in urban and rural areas. That structure trains children up to 6 years old in order to set them for success during their schooling without losing sight of their social and cultural values. In addition, CTP promotes well rounded development, offering balanced and healthy nutrition as well as intellectual motivation and care. CTP has chosen to implement Flip Boom in their classrooms, enabling teachers to incorporate animation for pedagogical purposes and expose students to information technology.

Poland: The Children's Art Centre in Poznan has been operating since 1984. Its raison d'etre is to inspire the creation of professional art for children and young people, to promote new artistic performances, to popularise and aid in the development of new methods of culture awareness in education. In 2010 the Children’s Art Centre, supported by the "Orange Academy" programme of the Orange Foundation, has developed an innovative showcase art project for children. While learning animation using Flip Boom Cartoon, the kids had to create theme-based projects on how to fight all kinds of prejudice and discrimination resulting from lack of respect. Activities had three different aspects: social – turning attention to signs of exclusion around us; artistic – learning and practising the techniques of animation; media-oriented – running a social campaign about the issue so crucial to a local community. The project, together with the accompanying multimedia publication, will be presented at a special show during the 28th International Young Audience Film Festival Ale Kino!
