DP0018: How can I simultaneously render two different resolutions in the same file format? Scale-Output module: The Scale-Output Module scales the output of an operation to the desired resolution. You can use this module to scale the resolution of a composite operation for output to anamorphic projection systems. You can also use this module to scale down the output to a lower resolution, enabling a quicker composition. For example, if you want to render In Digital Pro, there was only one filename parameter in the Write module; final frames are named by adding the file type suffix to filename parameter. If you try to render normally with both Low Resolution and High Resolution set to TGA, one of the files will be overridden by the other one since they both have the same name. To overcome this limitation, you can use two Write Image modules, each one connected to a different Final Frame column in the Xsheet module. You must set both to use a different filename prefix, for example, final_hi and final_low. Note: I do not recommend using – (Hyphen) since it is used to define from the file type suffix to filename parameter. Step 1. Add 2 write modules and one scale module. Rename write module as Write_hi and Write_low for example. Step 2. Change the prefix name if the file name accordingly to prevent overridden by the other one since they both have the same name. And then change the Resolution of the Scale to set low res (ex, 360 x 270) Step 3, Connect two write modules to your final composite and add the Scale-output modules in between the Final composite and Write_low. Step 4. Render with Render network from File>Export menu. Then you will see the result where you have set the destination. The default location is under /your_saved_scene_folder/frames/ folder. Note: This only works with sequence of images. It does not apply with movie option. |
