    As long as you restore the same operating system, you will not be required to deactivate your Toon Boom product. Simply follow the activation process.

    Activation consists of a product code combined with a unique machine identifier generated by your computer. Only this information is provided to the Toon Boom activation server and ensures each product is activated the permitted number of times.

  5. I have lost my Product Code, what do I do?

    If you are not able to find your product code, you should be able to get it from your My Products page on the toonboom.com web site.

    Online purchases made through the toonboom.com web site are automatically recorded, but you must have registered your product if you bought it offline....


  6. I have several Toon Boom products which require activation, what can I do?

    Several Toon Boom products can be installed at the same time on the same computer. You can open the License Wizard application to manage all of the installed Toon Boom software.

    If access to the original computer is not available, you may not be able to activate software on the new computer. Please contact support@toonboom.com for assistance.

  9. Is Activation Mandatory?

    Yes, you must activate your Toon Boom product to confirm that your product code is valid. If you do not activate your product, it will not work.


  10. Is my existing Product Code valid if a new version of a product is released?

    Your product code will be always valid even if a newer version of your product is available.
    When you upgrade your product to a newer version, you will receive a new product code for the upgrade. The older version of the product will remain activated.


  11. Is product activation related to product registration?

    Activation is mandatory to prevent unauthorized usage of the product, whereas registration is optional.
    Registration is for users who want to receive information about Toon Boom products and to download extra materials such as tutorials, templates, etc.


  12. Is the Product Code restricted to a specific Operating System?

    The Product Code can be used on all supported operating systems, these are listed in the product system requirements. The Product Code is not linked to any specific operating system.
