Boom Time is the term given to the period when the trial version will expire.

You may encounter the following situation:

Boom Time is at 0 when you install Toon Boom Studio v3.0 Trial version for the first time. The problem is caused by the fact that the computer is set in a non-unicode language.

This occurs because other languages such as French, Japanese, Korean and Chinese have a different date format, so when Toon Boom Studio compares both dates to make the countdown they don't match up and the Boom Time is set to 0 days left.

This problem only occurs in trial version of the software since there is no timer in the full version.
You can remedy this by doing the following:
  • Change the language parameter in the Region and Language Option of the Control Panel. The parameter you are looking for is Standards and Formats. Simply change it to unicode and it should be work fine.
