You might encounter the problem in which the Boom Time is at 0 when you install Toon Boom Studio v3.0 Trial version for the first time. The problem is caused by the fact that the computer is set in a non-unicode language.

The main reason for this problem to occurs is due to the fact that other languages such as French, Japanese, Korean and Chinese have a different date format and when Toon Boom Studio comes to compare both date to make the countdown they don't match up so it is put down to 0 day left.

This problem only occurs in trial version of the software since there is no timer in the full version. You can solve it by changing the language parameter in the "Region and Language Option" of the Control Panel. The parameter you are looking for is "Standards and formats". Simply change it to unicode and it should be working fine.
