I would describe myself as a person who loves meeting new people, and enjoying all things related to art and animation! When I first discovered 2D Puppet Animation/Cut-Out animation, it was love at first sight — or rather, love at first rig! Rigging and Directing are my favorite parts of the animation process. Whether it's crafting a movable character/object from a completely static image, or directing an animated production, both are extremely rewarding experiences in which I'm improving upon daily. It's for these reasons that I aspire to be a Director and/or Technical Rigging Supervisor post-university!

My experience with animation is that I'm heavily invested in the medium. I went to school for animation and have earned a BFA and MFA concentrating in the art form. As a result of various assignments and classes, I have dabbled in a few techniques and methods with stop motion, 2D and 3D. I have a solid understanding of the animation pipeline process from making student films and I have worked professionally as an animation retaker and clean-up artist at a few studios. Primarily, I work as an Assistant Professor teaching animation and visual storytelling classes.

I have been involved with animation for 27 years. In 2010, I set up my own company, Creatvtoon Studio and started creating and running my own 2D animation series called “Zero Hero” and followed by another potential 3-minute slapstick-comedy series called “The Adventures of Laok Paok & Ulam”. In 2016, I was involved in the short animated series LEGO STAR WARS “The Force Awakens” as an Animation Consultant. In addition, throughout 2012 to mid-2019, I was involved as a Animation Director for the 3D series called ‘Buzzy Bee’ with Lion Rock Ventures and followed by the 3D animated series ‘Truck Town’ produced by NELVANA Production as Animation Supervisor and 2D Effects Supervisor (Toon Boom Harmony), then continued as Animatic & Storyboard Supervisor for a short animated series called ‘Astrolology’ under the Lemon Sky Animation & Games ’studio.
