Toon Boom Rigger and Generalist at Blinkink. Over 20 years of animation experience starting in traditional 2D (on paper) and working in many departments across the animation pipeline during the years, and in several formats. From television series work and then advertising and the odd feature and music video as well as games and apps. Somewhere along the way I moved into digital stuff first using Toon Boom in 2008.
I’m Raha. I am a first year Storyboard Revisionist at Dreamworks TV! I love learning about storytelling and film. Constant growth is what I crave. Also: I’m a huge fan of animals, movies, and trying all different types of cuisines!
I’m a professional rigger which is quite like solving art jigsaws and puzzles for a living. Its very rewarding to see it all come together and see your work throughout the end product. I like what I do but I find the hardest part of my day is trying to find something to listen to while I work.
I’m an experienced director and board artist. I’ve directed over 60 episodes of TV animation and have been nominated for a Daytime Emmy for directing. I’m currently storyboarding at Netflix in LA. I love the subtext involved in storyboarding, creating a shot that says more than words can. I also enjoy the problem solving of thoughtful staging. Working with fellow artists and likeminded nerds, each of us contributing to make a sum greater than our parts, is really inspiring.
Hey, I’m a Character Animator specialising in Toon Boom Harmony, currently also working as an Animation Supervisor at Lighthouse Studios! Working for television and feature. Bringing characters to life through movement and story, and seeing it all come together through collaboration, creates a very strong satisfaction that is principally what attracts me to the medium. Each project bringing its own challenges and opportunities to grow. Hoping 2021 allows me to produce some more original and independent work.
Adam is a 2D animator with a professional career spanning over a decade. He found his way into animation through comics and a love of sketchbooks, and is forever trying to capture the things he experiences in life! Aside from making stuff move, Adam loves a good walk in the countryside, playing golf and binge-watching Scandinavian crime dramas. He has been specialising in Toon Boom training via Adam’s Animation Academy since 2017.
Marcus Guio is a brazilian animator, PhD student and professor of animation in undergraduate and graduate courses, teaching mainly 2D digital animation and Toon Boom Harmony use. He has participated in international and Brazilian teams for TV series, as well as video clips and advertising content.
100 words? Born in NJ graduated and ended up hauling trash after high school, which was a hideous job, so I went to art school to learn animation at the Kubert school. 32 years later, I’ve been fortunate to work on so many hit shows that they all sort of blur together. Favorites include Phineas and Ferb and Scooby Doo. I have done every facet of animation professionally, from writing to directing to producing to animating to design to voices. I’ve made whole films alone, and armed with Storyboard Pro and Harmony I’m going to make more. Whew that was NOT easy!
Hanna Lea Wyttenbach
I never knew if I was actually going to end up in animation, but I happened to fall in love with the craft after a long time of uncertainty. I have worked on a Disney TV series in Vancouver and now I am working part-time in an animation/ illustration studio in the heart of Zurich City. I love how we can communicate the most complex feelings and emotions through our craft in ways no other medium can. We can come up with the most fantastic places that only exist in our imagination and make them come to life. And that’s what makes me love my job every day of my life.
I’m a Brazilian artist who loves to make stuff move! I’ve been working as a cel animator and illustrator with creative studios around the world and currently have a remote position at Remade Studio.
Mollie Ong is a 2D animator and painter based in Los Angeles, California. She has worked on various projects for feature films, commercials, and youtube series. In her personal work she loves to merge animation and painting.
I am a Nigerian animator living and working in Columbus Ohio. A lot of my time is dedicated to animating, but I also paint and illustrate. I love cartoons and comics and trying to find a nice balance between telling real stories and exploring the absurd and fantastic worlds that grow out of them.
Tom LaBaff is a nomadic storyboard artist. In February, he wrapped story on Ivandoe for Sun Creature Studios in Denmark. He’s banked over 20 years in the animation industry and loves storyboarding as much as fishing.
My journey in animation started as a stop motion artist, focusing mainly on artistic projects working with paper cut outs and puppets. After a slow transition to the digital medium and years of migrating between animation softwares as a hobbyist I’ve finally made the leap to Toon Boom. That marked the beginning of my professional career and I’m now working internationally as a freelancer, both as a rigger and character animator for TV serieses. I try, whenever possible, to keep producing personal projects, to keep some sanity going in a very demanding industry.
I’m very energetic and passionate about animation, games and dogs. I’ve been working as a Story Revisionist Artist for the Victor and Valentino Show, created by Mr. Diego Molano at Cartoon Network. I’m also the original creator of Dodgeball Academia Game which will be released this year by Humble Games and I like to create personal stuff in my free time.
As a Story Artist, I’m very much someone who would be lost without stories in my life. I grew up in a family of natural born storytellers and entertainers, with bedtime stories that to me looking back, were great storyboard pitches and the introduction to the emotional connection that could be felt through pictures, drawings and great voices. So, I followed what felt natural and spent years sketching, pitching my way to becoming a Senior Story Artist. I believe that if my family had known that storytelling was a job, I am sure they would have all been Story Artists.
I’ve been in Animation for 11 years, and started off as a storyboard artist, and am currently Co-Developing, Co-Directing and Co-Producing a few things at Dreamworks Animation with my brother and creative partner, Justin Copeland. I love collaborating, I love telling stories from my perspective, I love designing characters, and I LOVE drawing in Storyboard Pro.
I’m Zi, a recent graduate from Sheridan College’s animation program. I’ve done animation/storyboard work for ‘Lackadaisy,’ ‘Hazbin Hotel,’ ‘Helluva Boss,’ ‘Arlo the Alligator Boy’, and more! Currently, I’m a Story Trainee at Netflix. I have a webcomic called ‘Ramshackle’ that I work on in my spare time, and I hope to one day be a showrunner! I enjoy character-driven shows and am a huge supporter of indie animation.
I’m a 2D Animator and Rigger, but I am also a content creator. I do esports broadcast production, composing for media, and even motion graphics on occasion. You could say I am a do-it-all guy! Right now I’m doing freelance animating for smaller studios, but I’ve been fortunate to do scene planning for Wild Kratts at 9Story and animating for Jeremy Fisher Junior at Smiley Guy! Oh and learn portals videos for Toon Boom. What I love about animation is how current tech lets you get so much out of it without sacrificing quality.
I’ve been working in animation for 35 years, from commercials to features. Started as an inbetweener, and went on to animate, storyboard and direct. Credits include The Lion King, Mulan, Brother Bear, and dozens of episodes of VeggieTales (several of which I directed). For the last 10 years I’ve been a freelance storyboard artist. My clients have been indie features (i.e. Animal Crackers), as well as TV shows like Scooby Doo and Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz for Warners. I also teach storyboarding at Lipscomb University in Nashville.
I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. I’ve been completely obsessed with drawing ever since I could pick up a pencil. After studying animation at Sheridan College, I pursued my passion of working in the animation industry. Over the last 10+ years I have been lucky enough to be a part of many cool projects as an Animator, Character Designer, and Story Artist. Currently, I am a Character Designer for Disney TVA on a project called Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.
I am currently the Animation Supervisor of the Fox Animated Series ‘The Great North’ for Bento Box. Besides Bento Box, my career related to Toon Boom includes Mike Judge’s ‘Tales from the TourBus’, The documentary ‘Rodents of an Unusual Size’ via Pipsqueak Films, various Youtube projects for Dreamworks, most notably ‘LATTJO’ and ‘Get My Goat’. My first projects with Harmony were ‘Where’s My Mickey’ and ‘Where’s My Water 2’ from Disney Interactive. The thing I enjoy most about animation is the creative process. From a vision in your head one minute, to something that can be shared with thousands of people a short time later, it’s amazing how easily it can be done these days.
Ryan Imm is a Korean-Canadian animator based in Atlanta, GA. He has worked on several animated series for both prime time TV and streaming services, but ultimately dreams of animating on a 2D feature-length film. Ryan enjoys fun ways to improve his hand-eye coordination: drawing, sports, and video games!
I have been a Toon Boom enthusiast ever since I learned the program, and love specializing in builds and rigging. I enjoy finding solutions to different rigging problems, as well as experimenting with different things that can make a rig as complete and easy to use as possible.
I’m currently an animation senior at Savannah College of Art and Design with a minor in storyboarding. I was born and raised in Taichung, Taiwan, the very city where boba tea was invented. I love making people laugh with my stories and doodles, and my dream is to work on animated features or TV shows one day as a story artist, making the world a happier place one story at a time.
I’m a Character Designer and Animator born in the sunny and friendly country of Spain. I started developing my career working as a freelance illustrator for several companies, advertising agencies and publishing houses such as Penguin Random House, McGraw Hill, SM, Vaughan, etc. Among other jobs, I was responsible of illustrating the trilogy of middle-grade action bestsellers «Total Jurassic». Now I work as Animation Teacher at U-Tad, ESDIP Escuela de Arte (Madrid, Spain) and Art and Animation Supervisor in its associated production company, ESDIP Animation Studio. My experience has led me to work as production artist in several short films, and animator in studios like Headless Animation or MonkeyToons.
I am a self-taught animator working primarily in hand-drawn rotoscope animation. I enjoy directing and animating music videos, and I worked on seasons 2 and 3 of Adult Swim’s Dream Corp LLC as a member of the rotoscope animation department. My freelance work usually involves mixing hand-drawn rotoscope, FX animation, and vintage practical effects techniques.
Animator, illustrator, painter fascinated in the history of art. Currently a freelancer. My main strength is gesture drawing and planning rough animation which I enjoy most. I like to participate in the creative projects which are less connected to the mainstream. I am also focused on developing my own children books as an author and illustrator.
I am Lorenzo Mercanti, a young designer and visual artist born in Milan. I started studying graphic design and art direction, and developed my interest in animation and illustration since the first years of my studies. I’m now working both as a designer and as a freelance animator for the music industry and for agencies. With my projects, I love to explore surreal worlds and dreamy images filled with colors.
I’m a Toon Boom Harmony rig Supervisor and R&D in Toon Boom for Xilam Animation (France). I did my studies in 2D animation in Spain, and finally I specialized in Toon Boom Harmony, with a specialty in Rigging. I’m very curious how things work. Working at Xilam Animation allows me to develop my knowledge about the software: creating new builds, developing tools for different phases in a production.
Hi, my name is Lieke and I am a Freelance animator and illustrator. I have had the opportunity to work on a couple of cool projects, animated shorts, TV and YouTube series. No matter how big or how small the project, I look for that little bit of magic in everything I do. For me, visual storytelling is all about sharing, so I am happiest when I can share my experiences and creations with colleagues, friends and whoever is willing to listen.
Hey, I’m Joe and I have worked for several years in animation and preproduction with studios in Canada, Manchester and London for networks such as Nickelodeon, Disney and Netflix. Currently, I’m the Assistant Animation Director on the upcoming show Deadendia where I’ve been trying to push the expectations of what rigged animation can achieve. The reason I enjoy animation is due to its random nature: there’s so many ways to approach the same situation so it’s always interesting… and challenging. However, it’s nowhere near as challenging as having a new energetic kitten!
Jason has worked in entertainment as both a 2D FX and 3D VFX artist for 13 years, animating for the Powerpuff Girls, Arlo on Netflix, and multiple titles for Riot Games – including League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, and several R&D projects. While working full time at Riot, Jason created over 60 FX and VFX education videos on his YouTube channel, designed and taught courses for artists internally at Riot, mentored prospective FX artists, facilitated the VFX Bootcamp at GDC, and spoke at conferences to students and pros alike. Jason founded VFX Apprentice, which trains FX artists across the world.
Hello! I am currently a 2D freelance animator. I love animation and I think the most attractive thing to me about it is how animation gives you the freedom to create literally *anything* you want! It’s a very stressful process but in the end, it feels so good to see what you drew actually moving!
I’m a 2D artist specializing in traditional hand-drawn animation, and I love working to make my character acting as expressive as I can. I’ve gotten to work on a lot of cool projects, and I hope to keep improving my craft!
Since July 2020, I’m the founder and director at Pickled Frames — an animation studio with a great focus on characters. My career in animation started when I was 20, with an internship in Studio Pigeon. I worked there over the next five years as an animator, rigger, lead, supervisor, show creator, and scriptwriter. I’ve worked on fantastic commercial and cartoon projects, some of which are streaming on Netflix and TV! I knew that I want to run my own studio, which is decided to start Pickled Frames.
Animation has always been important to me. Due to my autism, I didn’t speak until age six, but I was drawing ever since I could pick up a pencil and taught myself stop motion.I founded DaniMation when I was fourteen, initially to produce my own animation series, but quickly found a niche by teaching animation to others with autism—becoming asocial entrepreneur, first in the US and now internationally in addition to my original goal of animation production. Professionally, I earned a BFA in animation and an MBA, and premiered 9 animated shorts at San Diego Comic-Con.
I’m an animator/character artist, originally from Detroit. I live and work in Burbank at Disney Television Animation. I am a Technical DIrector on Big City Greens, and I use Harmony everyday to work on final frames for the show. Sometimes I am changing the background, sometimes I am retiming lipsync for characters. No scene is the same as the last. In my spare time I do animation and character designs for fun. I love to create!
I’m Chris and I am a 2D FX animator and department head for Jam Filled Entertainment in Ottawa. I have been fortunate enough to work on projects like Final Space and Next Gen on Netflix, The Loud House and The Casagrandes with Nickelodeon, as well as game cinematics including League of Legends, Brawlhalla, Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Talking Tom. I’ve been in the industry since 2006 but I’ve always had a passion for 2D FX animation from the start. I love that we often get to design the 2D FX, not to mention the joy of classically animating everyday.
Hi I’m Billy, I run Toastie Animation a UK animation studio. I love dabbling in all aspects of animation and have worked in everything from preschool animation to commercials. I get energised by working with amazing artists and bringing characters to life through animation.

I would describe myself as a person who loves meeting new people, and enjoying all things related to art and animation! When I first discovered 2D Puppet Animation/Cut-Out animation, it was love at first sight — or rather, love at first rig! Rigging and Directing are my favorite parts of the animation process. Whether it’s crafting a movable character/object from a completely static image, or directing an animated production, both are extremely rewarding experiences in which I’m improving upon daily. It’s for these reasons that I aspire to be a Director and/or Technical Rigging Supervisor post-university!
I have been working in this beautiful animation industry for more than 15 years. Currently I am focused on the development and construction of Rig in 2D. Since I love the idea of building and using the multiple tools that ToonBoom Harmony offers, to create cut out animation, much more organic and dynamic. All the knowledge that I have to this day has been an enormous satisfaction, and I can say that, every day I learn more and more about this noble profession that is animation.
I have always been an artist starting from a young age. It served as a way to express my overflowing creativity. I can still be found with some form of sketchbook always in hand, lost in a world of my own. With a growing passion for storytelling and exploring emotional arcs with characters, I dive into the fascinating world of being a Storyboard Artist. Nothing gives me more joy than telling stories through the expressive medium of animation. The best part of all this is feeling the pride I have in the end result of my work.
