Channel Marketing Manager

The Channel Marketing Manager (CMM) is responsible for supporting and managing all aspects of marketing for our resellers and agents. The CMM is focused on communicating the values of our products and services to the channels. Working closely with various stakeholders in the company, the CMM will plan and execute campaigns in the channel with a goal of influencing revenue, and the CMM will report results and recommendations for evaluation. The primary focus of the CMM is to assist the channel to make more money through increased sales.

Responsibilities include

  • Developing, driving and implementing high-touch channel marketing activities for our channel partners and agents to support continued revenue growth.

  • Developing regional marketing strategies and overseeing day to day channel operations in international markets and utilizing data and regional insights to grow market share with demand generation activities.

  • Working closely with the channels to implement and execute regional marketing campaigns. These include but are not limited to, driving attendance to events and promoting ongoing sales initiatives, developing regional Ads (online & print), newsletters, content syndication, coordinating regional webinars, and sponsoring festivals/events for maximum exposure, monetization and return on investment.

  • Working with channels to develop regional social media strategies and ensuring the proper management of these initiatives including developing and managing the regional channel communications calendars and constantly feeding the different regions relevant content for sharing.

  • Managing information transfer to the channels, processing channel feedback and working closely with all aspects of the business to gather product and channel insights and reporting on channel marketing performance.

  • Working closely with the product, content and sales enablement teams to develop messaging and channel marketing collateral.

  • Supporting the managing Sales Directors and actively participating in quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and reseller summits (some travel required).

  • Manage Toon Boom’s Channel Marketing Development Funds (MDF) program and ensuring funds are well-utilized to help ensure channels are consistently closing the quarter on budget.

  • Keep Marketing team informed of competitive information along with any risks, threats and opportunities related to product.


  • Minimum 3 years experience working as a Channel Marketing Manager, preferably in software, understanding the unique needs and value of building a high performing partner community.

  • 1-2 years experience managing budgets.

  • 2 years sales or business development experience with a strong understanding of distribution channels

  • 2 years project management experience.

  • An accountable self-starter with excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills.

  • A proven ability to handle multiple projects at once, while supporting multiple stakeholders.

  • Data-driven mindset - committed to the importance of tracking and analyzing results.

  • Flawless organizational skills, creative, entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding drive.

  • Very social, ability to work with small teams and influence senior staff.

  • Multilingualism is an asset but not a requirement.
