Digital Marketing Analyst

The Digital Marketing Analyst will be responsible for collecting and analyzing marketing data to help drive intelligent data-driven decisions for sales and marketing managers. This individual will gather data to evaluate various marketing and sales channels, related marketing initiatives, and web analytics data to drive an increase in overall revenue and profit for the organization at a strategic and tactical level. Daily activities involve maintaining metrics on marketing activities and effectiveness, making recommendations, and ensuring appropriate adjustments are made to improve our marketing.

This role is expected to bring practical web, SEO, SEM and analytics abilities. The individual must possess excellent presentation skills and must be comfortable using data to suggest new opportunities and best practices to teammates to improve the way we operate and grow. Natural curiosity and skepticism is inherent and drives a thirst for data analysis.

The Digital Marketing Analyst will also work closely with our graphic designers, product marketers, and other internal stakeholders to execute on data-driven GTM strategies and marketing initiatives that impact revenue with online activities that evangelize our brand, improve product information and strengthen our reach to further improve the top of the sales funnel and increase our market position by acquiring new leads and customers.

The right candidate must be deadline and detail oriented and will be working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects at once – they must understand the nuances of daily project management.

Responsibilities

  • Use Web Analytics and keyword tools (Google Webmaster, Adwords, Moz, SEM Rush, Adbeat, etc.) and build tracking and summary reports.

  • Create scalable, innovative approaches to extracting, managing, and analyzing data from a variety of sources.

  • Monitor and report to teammates on the performance of various marketing channels and campaigns.

  • Analyze marketing data to develop insights through meaningful metrics and make recommendations on areas for optimization by consistently evaluating and tweaking the usability and success of our marketing touch points.

  • Use data to drive user research and proactively review and present new ideas to improve website experience for leads and customers.

  • Collaborate with marketing team and management to accurately forecast and craft the right strategies, campaigns, and tests to run.

  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reports for marketing team.

  • Work with content and social teams to manage measurement/reporting of content and asset distribution on social channels and content distribution networks.

  • Manage SEO and SEM - develop solid on-page and off page SEO metric strategies and maintain/manage and keep improving current SEM/retargeting strategy. Manage goal setting based on click-through rates, traffic, and conversions. Increase the rate at which traffic convert to leads and leads to customers.

  • Continually improve your knowledge of tools, data, the business, and best practices

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business-related field or equivalent working experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis or some other field that requires reporting and analysis of raw data.

  • Must be data-driven, analytical and obsessed with data and reporting and executing on orders to tweak strategies where data is available. (Ex: Keywords, visits, CPC, Retention, Drop-offs, etc.)

  • Experience with analytic techniques, statistical modeling, and web analytics technologies.

  • Ability to extract meaning and suggest action items from data, not just report metrics.

  • Excellent communications skills when working with teammates who may be either data-driven or more qualitative.

  • Proficiency in HubSpot Analytics, Microsoft Excel (experience working with large amounts of data, pivot tables and complex functions), and Google Analytics, at minimum.

  • Deep understanding of web-related behaviors and trends and ability to optimize for these.

  • Ability to perform in-depth and root-cause analyses, identify trends, and report on key findings.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with employees of all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to identify what needs to be done and take action before being asked.

  • Strong attention to detail a must.
