Founded in 1999, France's Ecole des Métiers du Cinema d'Animation (EMCA) provides top-level technical training with a foundation in theoretical teaching. Using a contemporary lesson plan and putting an emphasis on visual aesthetics, EMCA provides the highest educational knowledge to future animation professionals throughout France and Europe.
Full-time students training at EMCA follow a three-year educational training curriculum in animation. Each year, EMCA receives 40 students who are under the age of 26 and have an A level grade point average.
EMCA teaches their students every possible element of animation, covering subjects from script writing to storyboarding to special effects. EMCA values industry participation along with collaboration and teamwork to ensure their students become successful professional animators adequately prepared for the workforce.
