L'Institut de Développement et Enseignement Multimédia (L'Idem)

L'Institut de Développement et Enseignement Multimédia (L'Idem) is a premier European school that teaches animation techniques to students enrolled in their three-year Cinéma d'Animation 2D-3D program. With two campuses - one in Perpignan, France and the other in Barcelona, Spain - students can study in either country and receive both French and Spanish accreditation, which qualifies graduates to work in both countries.

L'Idem students gain expert knowledge of industry technology including Toon Boom Harmony. They learn about the production ecosystem, challenges in 2D / 3D production and workflows used in the animation industry. In the first year of the three-year program, students learn the fundamentals of production. In the second year, they specialize in Concept Art and animating both traditionally and digitally in 2D/ 3D. In the final year, students take internships, either abroad or at international studios in France.

L'Idem is also a founder of the Réseau des écoles françaises de cinéma d'animation (RECA) which is a group of educational institutions that contributes to the successful production of animated films in France.
