Technical Software Sales Specialist

The Technical Software Sales Specialist (TSSS) is the key technical sales point of contact for clients, answering queries, providing technical advice and introducing new products.

General Description
The TSSS is responsible for exceeding revenue and profit targets within the assigned sales vertical/territory. Tasked with delivering one unified vision of development, strategic, and market value of our solutions to the customer he will be reporting to the Vice President Sales & Marketing. The TSSS also works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are overachieved.

The TSSS will always be a wingman for the sales team, conducting customer research to better assess their needs, schedule demos and technical meetings or create sales presentations. Develop new product demonstrations around each new launch and train demo artists in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and establishing new business
  • Performing demonstrations
  • Developing and maintaining software demo packs to be relevant to the latest versions
  • Training demo artists to perform demos professionally and on time
  • Liaising with existing clients
  • Providing pre-sales support, product education and advice,
  • Attending trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings
  • Ensuring that sales targets are overachieved
  • Conduct technical presentations to explain the functions and inner workings of current or recent versions to new and existing customers.
  • Liaising with colleagues and using customer feedback to better assess and cover all customer needs and requirements.
  • Working with the sales team to provide a better service to customers.
  • Providing post-sale assistance and support to customers, when needed.
  • Making accurate and helpful recommendations to customers regarding what they need and will better suit them.
  • Staying up to date with new products and technologies.
  • Developing and managing the development of product demo packs, from script to delivery.
  • Training other demo artists on how to deliver an effective demo of all products.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years technical related software sales experience
  • Excellent demonstration and instructional skills
  • Experience with production tracking systems (relating to the entertainment industry) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony and Storyboard Pro
  • Knowledge of animation pipelines and related production workflows
  • Self motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills to problem solve, assess solution sales opportunities
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other team members
  • Strong computer skills in PC and Mac environments
  • Organisational skills, self driven, ability to work independently
  • Proficient (written and verbal) in English, other languages an asset
  • This position may require travel
