Job Description
MysteryQ in London is looking for an experienced 2D Pipeline Director to join our team. As Pipeline Director you will play a vital role working across all departments to create an efficient and sustainable studio pipeline for our animation production. You will bring your expertise to the technical aspects of the project while working in collaboration with the department supervisors and the production team. This is an exciting opportunity to help build on the workflows and develop a world class 2D animation pipeline.
Responsibilities – What you will do:
● Act as primary support for technical problems for artists and production. Provide technical solutions to artists and supervisors in all departments (storyboards, edit, builds, layout, animation, compositing etc.)
● Main Ftrack manager
● Help with the development, optimization, maintenance and documentation of production processes and tools
● Assist with technical issues to artist software vendors (Toon Boom, Ftrack, Adobe)
●Develop documentation and implement training to enhance the skills of team members
Requirements
Qualifications Must have:
● In-depth experience in Toon Boom Harmony
● In-depth experience in Ftrack
● Strong communication skills to convey ideas clearly and concisely
● Strong problem solving skills and ability to implement solutions
● Are organised and efficient, and able to juggle shifting priorities
● Are excited to learn on the job and stay up to date with new tools and techniques in the industry
● Have a strong work ethic
● Are located in or have the ability to relocate to London
Bonus skills:
● Toon Boom Harmony scripting capabilities
● Experience in pipeline development for Series Animation
●Photoshop tool development ● Premiere Pro tool development
● Software development knowledge
● Python, C#
● This is a contract position, fixed term
● The role would initially be remote, but eventually the plan is for everyone to be in-house in our studio in North London when it’s safe to do so.
● Candidates must have a valid work permit for the UK and would ideally be open to working in-house in London once safe to do so.
