Hello again, on this next part of the video I'm going to start by painting these two elements that we've created.
And then I'm going to go into my Colour view and I'm going to double-click on one of these colour pots. When I double-click on this, it brings me up to a new colour. And I'm just going to, sort of, try to find something that's a skin colour.
Let's try to get a bit more pink in that. And that's a little bit too much.
And it's not really too important to get the exact colour, because this is just to show a concept.
I'm going to choose my Paint Bucket and I'm going to paint the arm, the lower arm.
Now you can see I'm selecting in my timeline the upper_arm and I'm going to try to paint that. And one thing you'll notice is that when I try to paint it, it won't paint. Because I need to create a stroke at the end of this line that finishes off the shape.
If I press [K], you can see that. If I press [K], I turn it off. And I'm going to just simply paint that zone.
And now we can see I have my upper_arm and my lower_arm showing. Now if I'm going to animate some sort of point, I'm going to need to create a hand. And to do that I need another drawing layer.
So I'm going to simply press this button (the little plus sign) and choose Drawing Layer. And then I'm going to press Add and turn that off. Now, I can't see the other art, so let's just turn on this light. And I'm going to grab a Pencil and make sure I got the same line thickness. And I do.
And unfortunately, I'm going to draw this with a mouse, so it's not going to be the perfect hand right away, but I'll try to clean it up later.
Let's start by putting a finger. And a thumb. No, that thumb is a bit too thick. And let's just draw some other fingers in there. And let's bring this up. Something like that.
And I'll start by just cutting away what I don't [need]. Maybe I don't need that line. And I don't need this line. Or this line. And I can get rid of this. And get rid of that. Let's get rid of that and that. Now we have a pretty simple hand.
And again, I'm not going to worry too much about the art, because I only have this mouse to draw with. Maybe I'll put one more line in. Something like this. Maybe I'll cut that away. Good enough. Maybe I'll just get rid of that one too. All right, now we have our hand... ah one more. All right, now we have the hand that we're going to use.
And we'll quickly just fill that with colour.
Okay, so now we have the three parts of our arm already coloured and drawn.
