I graduated from Pratt Institute with a degree in Media Art in 2006. My first job after college was studio manager at independent animation house Blend Films, where I learned the tricky art of balancing both client work and personal projects. A few years later, my twin sister Joy Buran and I started our own animation studio where we’re currently balancing commercial videos, our latest animated short, and a children’s book about the 12 Days of Christmas. I live and work in the Catskill mountains with my husband, our two cats, two dogs, and a partridge in a pear tree.

I'm a storyboard artist, background artist and Illustrator with over seven years of experience working on animated projects for action, comedy, and the occasional heart-felt moment. As lead storyboard artist on Camp Camp, Nomad of Nowhere, Recorded By Arizal, SCALE and a bunch of other projects. I've been able to worldbuild and help mold characters over the course of a series. Currently, I'm working as an illustrator while making short animations in Storyboard Pro in my spare time.

I'm from Sonora, México. I love to put my hand in all the projects and all the tasks I'm given. I have been part of Mighty Animation for eight years and I´m all around the pipeline the last few years: storyboard, animation, rigs, visdev, bg, supervising and directing. Either way, every project has its charm and I'm very happy every time we see the final outcome.
