Isabella Spagnolo is an award winning Sydney-based film director, writer and 2D rough animator. She is also a proud mentor for WIA (Women in Animation) and is running a circle for first time directors in film with a global cohort in April 2025. She graduated from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) with Honours in Animation, and has since worked at Australian studios including Flying Bark Productions, Princess Bento and Glitch Productions on a number of major feature films and television series. Isabella’s animated worlds are an expression of her love for reflective storytelling and her passion for animation’s capacity to communicate otherwise indescribable feelings. She loves making drawings move, and her goal is to make drawings that move people.

Isabella pitched My Jumper, It Roars and on the project became the youngest director at Flying Bark Productions.
