Montreal, Canada - March 20, 2014

Great news came for a young Toon Boom animator when Max Von der Horst was awarded a Gold medal in the 2104 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for his abstract approach animation entry Trans-Morph-Ations beating some 250000 other entrants! Max's winning entry was created in Flip Boom All-Star.

The award ceremony will take place at New York’s Carnegie Hall on June 6th, 2014.  Max who attends school in NY loves to draw and animate, said, "I want to be a famous animator one day and have my own show. My main inspirations are the work of J.G. Quintel (The Regular Show) and Matt Groening (The Simpsons). I want to be like them. I’m thrilled to know The Simpsons movie and series were done using Toon Boom".
