I’m a Toon Boom Harmony rig Supervisor and R&D in Toon Boom for Xilam Animation (France). I did my studies in 2D animation in Spain, and finally I specialized in Toon Boom Harmony, with a specialty in Rigging. I’m very curious how things work. Working at Xilam Animation allows me to develop my knowledge about the software: creating new builds, developing tools for different phases in a production.

In my first job in the industry, I was lucky to collaborate with the rigging department and became interested in knowing how to rig a character or prop in Toon Boom. Since then, I have learnt more about my craft, and I get inspired by other riggers who push 2D rigging to its fullest potential. The thing I enjoy the most about being a 2D rigging artist is seeing the rigs I make being brought to life by animators. It still always baffles my mind. I've been working in the animation industry as an FX artist for about 7 years now, but it feels like a lot less! In that time I worked almost exclusively with European studios, but I'm branching out now further afield. I'm self-taught when it comes to FX and am always looking to improve. Having studied as an animation generalist, I never actually planned to end up in the FX department, but I'm really glad I did. It's a challenging field, full of super interesting people, and the atmosphere is electric!
